A downy woodpecker that lives at least part of the time in our back yard.

It has been a dream of mine to post a picture of my pecker online. No, really… woodpeckers are notoriously hard to get pics of around these parts, as they are always up at the very tops of the trees. But, I’ve set up a feeder and lured this little downy woodpecker within range of my lens, much to my delight and the delight of my bird-loving kids…
