Apologies for the extreme lateness of this PotD… we were unexpectedly delayed when we went out this afternoon, and it turned into an all-evening adventure.

I wish I could tell you the species of this butterfly, but I can’t. There are many of these at the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls, and many other species as well. When we got home from our trip I tried to figure out what was what but failed miserably when I found out how many species of butterflies there are there, and in the world… and how similar they can look.
