My daughter stalks deer with her camera.

A couple of days ago I posted a picture of some deer in a field – this is my daughter getting her own images on the same day.

Both of my kids are into photography – time will tell whether they do more with it than just have it as a hobby. My daughter gets practice stalking animals so someday she’ll be able to track down movie stars and pop stars without their underpants on.

Near my childhood home was a street named “Deerfield”. I’ve since moved away from the suburbs and very much prefer this kind of deer field.

The closest I have been to a deer when I have had my camera in my hand, on the side of the road on Wolfe Island

Another photo from our scouting expedition to Wolfe Island. We saw deer all day, but this one was right beside the road, just inside a farmer’s fence (you can see faint blurry lines of the fence wire). This required considerable sharpening due to the low-light conditions and the running vehicle.
